Finances and taxes can be stressful issues but there are ways of solving these problems. Here are some of the many ways which you can use to solve your finance and tax issues.

Do It Yourself

•Ensure that you resolve your debts and tax issues on your own if you owe less than ten thousand dollars.
•If you owe more than ten thousand dollars, you can choose to hire a finance and tax professional to guide you on how to solve the issue.
•Ensure that all your original tax returns are accurately prepared and all the payments are affordable.
•Make sure that you work with an experienced and well-qualified tax professional in case you owe more than twenty five thousand dollars.

Ask a Finance and Tax Professional

•Ensure that the tax professional is a certified public accountant and he or she is an enrolled agent.
•Make sure that you ask for the credentials of the tax professionals before you go for them.
•You should also ask yourself why you need the tax professional or an accountant.
•Let the tax professional guide you on how to plan for future tax in case you don’t know.
•The specialized tax professionals will also help you to handle the most complex tax situation or issues.
•Compare different prices of these tax professionals before they schedule the appointment.
•You should know their price range before you decide on one.
•Remember to ask for any guarantees the tax professionals can offer before the appointment.
•Generally ensure that you keep your costs under control because the tax professionals can either charge at an hourly rate for what they do for you or they can quote for a flat rate for all those services they will render.

File Late or Amended Tax Returns

•Make sure that you gather all the crucial tax documents to control your taxes.
•Use the easy software to prepare all your tax returns by yourself or you can choose to hire the professional to do it for you.
•Ensure that you have protected your tax refunds to avoid future owing.
•Plan to pay off your tax debts and you should also plan ahead.
•In case you need any information that can alter the tax calculations, you should file an amended tax return.

Tax Debt and Financial Strategies

• A monthly installment payment agreement for paying off the debts.
• A debt management program that allows partial agreement payment in installment.
• Programs that are offer in compromise where you pay your tax for less than the amount you owe.
•Programs where there is no collections of tax debt for a year.
•Filling in for bankruptcy to discharge all your tax debts.

Tax help line is always available from the Internal Revenue Service for all taxpayers by either the telephone, internet or in person. You can use IRS.gov or you can call 1-800-829-1040 for any individual tax issues. Tax helpline is open twenty four hours and anyone can contact us at any time.

It’s the time of year where people start looking out at their garden and hoping they’ll be able to spend a little more time in it. With the weather improving – and it being the 100th anniversary of the Chelsea Flower Show! – what better time to spruce up your shrubs and complete necessary tasks such as drain repairs? Indeed, the winners of this year’s Best Show Garden was the Trailfinders Australia Garden, which aimed to show how sustainability is possible. So can you make similar steps yourself?

Minimize water wastage

Keen gardeners in the UK may be well aware of how often it rains, so why not start using this to the advantage of you and the environment? Adding a water butt can save you having to go to the tap each time you need to water your plants. It’s an eco-friendly way to ensure your plot stays looking its best. Hosepipes tend to be particularly wasteful so try to avoid them, or if absolutely necessary fit a nozzle to restrict distribution.

Remember too that grey water – such as that used for washing vegetables or completing other household tasks – can be used for your plants. Just make sure you don’t plan to eat what you are watering and that it’s free of chemicals. The Trailfinders Australia Garden makes use of plants from Oz, but choosing options native to where you are can save you time, money and water. And if we’ve been lucky enough to have a hot day then consider minimizing the impact of evaporation by sprinkling your shrubs in the evening instead.

Encourage wildlife

Wildlife can play its part in ensuring your garden remains as in bloom as you’d like. Adding bird feeders and installing a pond could encourage birds and frogs to stop by and mean you are less affected by snails and slugs without needing to use repellents.

Make your own compost

Rather than buying expensive compost (which is usually sold in plastic bags) at your local store, why not consider making your own? It couldn’t be easier and is just as effective – if not more so – as buying it. Simply pick up a dedicated bin and start adding used teabags, vegetable peelings, egg shells, cardboard and cut grass. Keep it warm and damp and in time you’ll find your mix will be great for adding to your borders. And all at no extra cost to you or the environment!

Select sustainably

Just as making your own compost cuts the carbon footprint required to package and distribute it, so too can making some other simple changes. Think about where the products you going to buy have come from, whether it tools or seeds.

Think about your lighting

If you enjoy staying out in your garden until late in to the evening (when weather permits) then consider ways in which you can cut you electricity usage. Solar lights and lamps are a great way to do this and ensure you can see where you are going.

Plants hedgerows of trees rather than walls

And when it comes to walking along your garden path, consider whether it would be better for it to be lined by bushes or trees rather than fencing or walls. This will encourage more wildlife and give a more natural look, not to mention cutting down on the amount of manpower needed.

Cut out chemicals

Gardening organically can have some effective results in the long term. Chemicals can prove hazardous in a number of ways, so instead of using weed killer why not consider hoeing on a regular basis? It’s great exercise too!

Crime against women is again on the rise. Every day you can find at least one report of criminal activity against women. Unfortunately, the situation is getting worse. It is advisable that women are more alert especially when they step out of their home. It is always better to avoid traveling alone. The best means of travel is by train.

Train travel is far safer than other modes of transport. You can travel comfortably and safely on a train. Trains are more spacious so you can enjoy your own personal space even if there are fellow passengers travelling with you. You can sit comfortably and read a book or even have a quick shut eye without having to worry about your safety, thanks to the BTP (British Transport Police), whose efforts have made train travel very safe.

Working ladies are always in a rush to get back home quickly so that they can look after their kids and attend to other chores at home. Unlike roads, the train system is very efficient when it comes to punctuality. Unless there is some unexpected incidence like an accident, bomb threat, etc. (which are rare events) trains are always on time. Traveling from one place to another is quickest by train.

Trains are ideal for traveling with children. You can more easily look after your kids during a train journey than traveling by a car or plane. Moreover, children enjoy train journeys more as the fast speed of the train fascinated them most. They also get a lot of space around and can look out the huge windows and see beautiful sceneries.

During pregnancy Doctors advise patients to travel by train and avoid other means of transport. Trains are more comfortable as the probability of sudden jerky braking is almost nil. In fact the rhythmic rocking motion is soothing for expecting moms. There is a lot of mobility available when you are travelling on trains. You can walk around easily or stretch your legs. Many trains also have a pantry car where you can have a quick snack. The best part is that you have access to many restrooms. Most of the train stations are more centrally located than airports. This also helps to cut down travel time to reach your destination.

Thanks to the advancement of technology you can now book train tickets online right from the comfort of your home. You do not have to stand in a tiresome line to buy a ticket. The ticket booking sites are very user friendly and anyone who has the basic knowledge about how to use a computer can purchase the ticket just with the help of a few clicks. The site has a secure payment gateway so you do not have to worry about any transaction frauds while using your card to make your bookings.

In short, train travel has more benefits for women than any other means of travel. It also makes your journey more fun and relaxing!

Have you found that having good hair products isn’t enough to get the hair you want? There’s only so much that can be done on the exterior. Truly healthy hair starts with a healthy diet. You don’t have to sit around munching on vegetables all day though. These smoothies can give you large doses of hair-boosting vitamins and minerals in one tasty drink. Here are two smoothies for healthy, beautiful hair:

Sweet Potato Banana Smoothie

Bake 1 large sweet potato in the oven at 350 degrees for one hour or until tender. Remove the peel from the potato and let it cool in the refrigerator overnight. The next morning, put the sweet potato, a banana, 2 cups of soy milk, and a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg in the blender. Puree the ingredients until smooth and thick. Add some crushed walnuts on top, or throw them into the blender with the other ingredients at the start.

How is this smoothie good for your hair? Sweet potatoes are rich in beta carotene, an antioxidant that your body synthesizes into vitamin A. This vitamin is essential for the proper functioning of all cells. It also helps your body produce the oils on your scalp to protect your hair. A lack of vitamin A can result in dandruff. Walnuts contain significant amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, biotin and vitamin E to protect cells from damage. They also contain copper, which helps maintain your hair’s natural color and makes it more lustrous.

Pumpkin Smoothie

Place 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree, 1 medium frozen banana, 1/2 cup of low-fat plain or vanilla yogurt, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and several pieces of ice in a blender. Add 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, or if you don’t have that, one pinch each of cinnamon, allspice, ginger and nutmeg. Puree until the ingredients are thick and smooth. If you’d like your smoothie sweeter, add more honey or banana.

How is this smoothie good for your hair? Like sweet potatoes, pumpkin also contains vitamins A, B, C and copper. It also contains significant amounts of magnesium, iron, potassium and vitamin E. These are not only good for your hair, but good for your overall health. That’s because pumpkin is a super veggie that’s chock full of nutrients for many body functions and processes.

Who says healthy has to be boring? These smoothies are sure to wake up your taste buds and your hair follicles. Enjoy longer, stronger hair while giving your body the nutrients it needs to thrive. Whether you’re at home with the kids or at work dealing with security compliance management and SIEM technologies, these tasty recipes will leave you looking and feeling great.

For all you wanna-be basketball stars who are still practicing their shots with paper and the trash can, this article isn’t for you. For everyone else, this article is the perfect match for you!

An engineer from Japan named Minoru Kurata developed the newest technology in trashcans. Yep, you read that right. We will soon have technology in trashcans. This may even become a household item. The trashcan will move around the floor to catch the trash that was thrown from across the room.

A wall-mounted sensor detects which direction the trash is coming from, and a computer then calculates the trajectory the trash was thrown. The trashcan, equipped with movement devices, moves so the item will land inside.

Check out a demonstration of the new trashcan below:

http://youtu.be/ZNWd4FFYDv0

In the video, the trashcan looks very small. Small enough to fit under a desk, but also so small that it might be annoying to take out the trash so often. Will this trashcan come in different sizes? I’m sure it will eventually if it turns out to be a success.Kurata’s invention won an Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival.

What do you think of the trashcan? Let us know in the comments below.

Beauty advice comes from Courtney Baker, an amazing blogger over at GigaDaily.com. We appreciate her providing her expert opinion and writing on Pongra.

I’ve worn makeup, including foundation, since I was 12 years old, and I’m not alone. The thing about makeup is that is becomes addictive, and you might not feel like yourself without it. I remember, like many other teens, refusing to leave the house without a fully done face. Many of us began wearing makeup to look older, and that’s exactly what it does.

As you age, less is definitely more. When I look back of photos of myself in college, it’s astonishing that I had the time to get made up every day just to go to class. It wasn’t until I was in my late 20s and a boyfriend asked me to go without makeup that a change happened. That boyfriend has been left far behind, but the lesson in going all-natural has stuck with me.

How Does It Make You Feel?

How does the thought of going completely bare faced really make you feel? Excited, scared or anxious? I’m not going to lie; if you wear makeup every day you’re going to feel really naked the first time you leave the house without it. However, after a couple of weeks, that feeling passes and you start to feel clean without it.

I’m not saying you should never wear makeup again. I still wear it on weekend nights, to my pole dancing class, and for important meetings. However, I’ve also met with clients without a stitch of makeup, and I never wear it to meet with the high school kids I mentor. It definitely makes getting all dolled up more exciting and helps you get in the mood for something special.

Your Skin Will Thank You

Some of us began wearing makeup because we were teens with raging hormones, and it covered up our acne. The catch is that makeup, even the natural kind, can cause your skin to look worse. It can clog your pores, keep your skin from breathing and make breakouts last longer. That might be a big reason why you don’t want to go without.

Instead of makeup, invest in a good skin cream and sunscreen. Let your skin enjoy the kind of pampering that it does at night. Simply give your eyebrows a brush and use some lip gloss if you want a little extra boost. Your skin wants to breathe, and when you let it you’ll reap the benefits.

Ask a Man

Men tend to be more honest when it comes to assessing a woman’s beauty. Whether you manage a new home builders company in Greer, SC (where the atmosphere’s dryness is horrible for your skin!) or you’re a public servant, going without your makeup crutch can open up a world of possibilities. Ask your husband, your brother or even that guy you’ve been flirting with forever what he thinks of your natural look.

Once a woman passes 25, going without makeup make you look younger. It gives you a fresher, more approachable look. It lets your true natural beauty shine through. Challenge yourself to going without at least three days per week and see what it does for you.

When men hit 50, their testosterone levels decrease, and it continues to diminish as they age. When this happens, low testosterone can cause excess weight, particularly around the chest and abdomen. Experts believe excess fat carried around the stomach contributes to stroke, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some forms of cancer. Scary! The obvious answer is to embrace a good exercise program and work it off. And if you’re over the age of 50, certain exercises might be more appropriate to reduce the risk of injury, and really maximize a safe workout for this age group and older.

Strength and Resistance

Strength and resistance training consists of weight-baring exercises, designed to engage a good amount of your muscle mass, which can in turn, increase testosterone levels. It’s recommended that doing resistance training exercises 2 to 3 times a week can substantially increase bone mass, muscle mass….even cardiovascular health. Certain exercises are better than others for those 50 and over, particularly those like leg press, squats, military press, bench press and lat pull-downs. These specific exercises work the larger muscle groups, as well as those smaller groups around large muscles.

Another important thing to remember when exercising at an older age is to use lighter weights. You can start with light weights and more reps. This strategy will condition your muscles to get used to weight training. After a couple of weeks, increase your weights …less reps, heavier weight. More muscle mass will help you burn fat easier and elevate your metabolism. The kettlebell is a great way to get a full strength training workout for all of your major muscle groups.

Core Exercises

Abdominal fat is a killer. Adding core exercises to strengthen your stomach muscles and lower back can make a huge difference, and should be part of an exercise plan for men over 50. Start with three sets of as many crunches you can do in a sitting. Do this three times a week, and you’ll begin to feel those stomach muscles building. Another popular abdominal exercise is the “Plank”. These beef up your lower back muscles, as well as your stomach. With the plank, you simply lie on your stomach, and raise your body with your weight resting on your toes and forearms. Make sure to keep your body in a straight line, and don’t let your rear protrude upwards. Contract your stomach muscles and hold the position for around 20-seconds. Do this 2-5 more times, and you’ll get a great plank workout.

Cardio Exercises

If you’re like many men over 50, cardio workouts are loathed. Unfortunately, they are vital in increasing lung capacity and strengthening the heart, especially since your lungs and heart age as you do. Cardiovascular routines get your lungs and heart into shape, and they help metabolize fat as energy and burn calories. Cardio beginners can start with walking or swimming three to four times a week. You can increase your pace and your frequency as you become more active, as well as try other activities such as jogging and biking. Additionally, swimming lets you work your whole body, and is easy on the joints, which may have lost some flexibility as you age.

Bottom Line

An active lifestyle with proper and consistent exercise is a fantastic way to stay young and mobile. Just remember, you’re not as young as you once were, so begin your exercise routine with ease, and only increase your intensity as you get stronger and fitter. Sometimes it’s a good idea to consult a doctor prior to starting and exercise program, as well as giving your body sufficient recovery time in between exercise days.

Do you sleep with your cell phone under your pillow? Are you guilty of checking emails in the bathroom? When you wake up are you as exhausted as when you went to bed?

We’re all likely guilty of these things as living with constant stress seems to be an expected part of life anymore. Some people are so used to being overwhelmed that they can’t handle being without stress! Break away from daily stress with these 5 simple ways to bring down your stress level and enjoy life in the moment.

1. Stay organized

Most of us have a drawer in the kitchen for miscellaneous junk, but does your junk pile have a junk pile? How about your car, desk, inbox, dining room table? Break through the stress of having countless to-do items floating around in your head and visibly throughout your work/living space. Start by creating a list that you’ll commit to checking regularly. Make sure your list is always handy, and the second something pops into your mind that needs to be done make sure to add it to the list. You’ll find that once you add an item to your list it stops nagging your subconscious, freeing you up to be more productive. The key is to get absolutely everything on your list and to check it regularly!

2. Exercise

No one likes this one, but it doesn’t need to be as dreadful as you think. Exercising can be a simple part of your day that need not require an expensive gym membership or bright colored workout clothing. Start by using the stairs instead of the elevator, park further away than everyone else wherever you go, and make it a point to get out of your chair and walk around once an hour throughout the day. If you need to check emails after hours then do it while walking a treadmill or at the very least while standing. Just standing up helps to get the blood flowing throughout your body and can relieve the physical stress most of us are used to absorbing while sitting behind our computer screens. There are even desks now that can transition to a standing position to allow for standing or treadmill walking during work hours. If standing for long periods is tough for you, get in the water by visiting a local health club, university, or aquatic center that has HydroWorx therapy pools.

3. Diet

Don’t skip this one! If you struggle keeping a healthy eating regimen try alternatives to your favorite foods to transition into a better diet. Instead of white flour, try something gluten-free or whole grain. Replace sugary drinks with diet substitutes or use natural sweeteners like honey. Eat more fiber to keep a strong metabolism and healthy gut. When it comes to diet, moderation is really key! Take small steps to make a big difference in your overall health to relieve physical and mental stress.

4. Turn off technology

Did you know that studies have shown stress levels to decrease immediately once all technology has been removed from your reach? Start by turning off your cell phone at night, then try actually taking a lunch break and going off the grid for a half hour each day. Any time you get a chance, remove yourself from technology to allow your brain a period of mental rest from the anxiety of being accountable to your phone’s latest email, text, or voicemail.

5. Invest in yourself

You work hard, you do! Whether you’re a stay at home mom, a consultant, or both. While you are working so feverishly for your clients and your boss make sure to occasionally invest in yourself. Read a book for you, take a trip for you, attend an event that will help you personally grow. These actions keep your mind sharp and increase creativity which can give you the energy needed to take on stressful situations. Take time out of your day to regularly pray or meditate in the quietness of your own mind. How easily we forget about ourselves!

I hope that these 5 ideas to lower your stress level have been a help to you!

Just because a small business has little in the way of a marketing budget does not mean they can’t reap the rewards of successfully marketing themselves. There are a number of different ways in which they can do so that will not put their budget in despair. Read on for some suggestions below.

Have a Website that Wows

You already know you need a website in order to connect with those people who have the potential to be your customers. In addition, you probably also already know that you need to have your website populated with those words and phrases that people are most likely going to use when they are trying to solve their problems. If there is a particular region of the country you want to target, you need to find a way to directly engage those visitors, too.

Give Visitors what they Want

Many niche businesses appeal to a pretty narrow segment of the population. They are searching for something to help them in their time of need. Once they land on your website, you want them to click around a bit and explore. Offer content that addresses the most common issues that are faced by people you want to sell to.

Offer Ways to Engage

It is a given: you won’t be able to please everyone who visits your website. It is possible, however, to give them options to keep in touch and engage in case they think you can be useful to them in the future. Having a regular email newsletter is one way to do this on a personal level. You can use this newsletter as a way of introducing new services and products, of course, but you can also use it to offer your customers some perks for coming back to you.

Customize those Perks

This type of small business CRM is one way to really engage with your visitors. Depending on their interests, which you can determine with a simple and short survey attached to your email sign up form, you can tailor the perks you send out to them. You can also encourage them to bring their friends on board by offering a discount on their next order.

Customer Interaction is King

Using a blog to populate your website with keywords new but there are ways to make it more interactive. By engaging in dialogue with visitors, you can determine what they are looking for and help them to find the answers they need. Another way to allow interactions is by providing a forum. Visitors can bounce ideas off of one another while you interject questions and other ideas to keep the dialogue going.

Keep Feedback Options Open

No one likes to hear that they are not doing a good job but it’s how businesses grow. By keeping the lines of communication open and allowing feedback, you have the opportunity to make things right. This could end up with you getting the reputation of being honest and respectful of your customers.

Alyssa enjoys staying on top of the small business CRM game and blogs about it regularly.

Not long ago the word “eco-friendly” tended to evoke pictures of cheap, tasteless and boring designs, materials and fabrics, however soon after that, a lot of people realized the importance to lead an eco-friendly life in order to minimize pollution. Luckily, nowadays, there has been a huge shift in people’s perceptions, as there are a lot of stylish and amazing eco-friendly designs. It has become popular to lead an environmentally-aware life. And lastly, more and more people now realize that “eco-friendly” is not just about saving the planet, but also about saving money.

How You Can Benefit From an Eco-Friendly Home

1. An eco-friendly home pays off for itself. A lot of the home improvements will help you save time and money in the long run. These include: solar panels, energy-saving washing machines and cookers, insulation, etc.

2. Eco-friendly home is healthier. The whole point of having an eco-friendly home is to have a balanced and healthy life. A lot of the features of such homes will help you eliminate the sources of stress and discomfort, as well as pollutants.

3. Eco-friendly sells. If you are planning to sell your home, eco-friendly home improvements will help you increase the price of your property and will inevitably attract potential buyers. You can add both qualities to your property and to your life.

Some ideas on how to achieve this…

1. Cork Flooring. Flooring is an essential part, as it gives the finished look of any home. Because of its durability, warmth and good looks, hardwood flooring dominated the market for a very long time. However, if you want an eco-friendly home, you should consider cork flooring, as it is not only cheaper and made out of a renewable source, but it is also healthier and easier to maintain. Did you know that cork flooring repels pests? That means no more nasty bugs!

2. Solar Panels. Solar panels are your best chance to save from energy and become more independent. Why give money to the electricity companies, when the sun and the warmth that comes from it are still free? Use them as much as possible by installing solar panels on your roof. Potential buyers will also love to pay more for a home improvement that will help them save too. In addition, installing solar panels is not like having a pool in the backyard – a solar panel will pay for itself sooner or later.

3. Insulation. Did you know that according to latest official data £1 in every £4 is wasted on poor insulation. When it comes to keeping warm during the winter months, some people don’t compromise! Good insulation is fairly cheap and will save a lot of, otherwise, wasted energy.

In conclusion, remember that if you want an eco-friendly home, you should acquire eco-friendly habits. Solar panels will help you save from electricity, but unless, you change your habits and turn off the lights when you are not in the room, or unplug electrical appliances you no longer use, everything will be a waste.
